Kruger, Otto

(1885-1974)

   The actor was born in Toledo, Ohio, and trained as a musician for the concert stage. However, he chose an acting career, beginning in the Durham & Caroline Stock Company. The Natural Law (1915) was his first important Broadway production. He played Adam in Adam and Eva (1919) and many other major roles throughout the 1920s. He acted frequently for the Theatre Guild, but devoted himself mainly to motion pictures from the 1930s.
